Support Empowered Cricket

It’s our goal to be able to offer this program to any girl or young woman regardless of economic status, race, or location. With each donation we will be able to provide supplies and education to those who could not afford to cover the costs.

Small things that lead to great changes. Words are made up of individual symbols, individual sounds, when arranged can either do great damage or great good. It is important that -each- girl learn that her voice is impactful and that it is her right to express “no” if she finds herself in -any- situation that compromises -her- personal boundaries.

From that lesson grows confidence to make small changes in her life, better daily habits, better personal choices, all from knowing that -she- has a voice and her words matter. Perhaps something happened to her in the past when she knew no words, or didn’t have the words to describe it. She knows how to use words now. She knows how powerful they are. She can express it now to begin healing and even bring justice to those who took advantage of one who had no words.

Lesson upon lesson, cricket match upon cricket match, she learns the connection between protecting the cricket boundary and protecting her own. She learns the connection between communication out on the pitch and communicating in life.
